Getting to Know Each Other--Bag Project
Choose 3 items that tell about YOU to put in the bag provided at school. Your items must be small enough to fit inside. Bring your bag to school on Wednesday, September 4th, and be prepared to share the contents with your classmates.
Here are some examples of what you can bring:
*If you always wear a bow in your hair, put in a bow.
*If you like baseball, put in a baseball card.
*If you collect seashells, put in a shell.
Your items should tell about you!
· A hobby or free-time activity that you enjoy
· One of your favorites (food, color, music, book, etc…)
· Future plans or goals
· Something you’d like to do better
· A place you’d like to visit
· Something special about your family
· The best part of summer vacation
· Something that reminds you of a memorable event or time in your life
· Something that you really dislike
· A talent or special ability that you have

Friends and Family Book
I am in the process of creating a Friends and Family book. This book represents one of my goals as an educator, which is to support and strengthen children and families. Students will be able to look through it to see the different types of families we all have. It can also be used for a child that might be missing his or her family. It will remind the children that the people in the book care deeply about them and their successes.
Each child will have one 8 ½ by 11” page. I am asking that every student bring in at least one family photo for our book, but several pictures would be great too. (If your child has 2+ families, make sure to send in 2+ photos.)
Please send the photos in by Tuesday, September 11th.
